Diagnostic, Therapeutic and Preventative Services: We are fully-equipped here at the hospital to provide your dog, cat, puppy, kitten, rabbit or pocket pet with comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative pet health services to provide for your pet's complete health care and dietary needs.
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provides comprehensive testing services. We have a long standing relationship with qualified commercial laboratories, and specialty veterinary laboratories at Universities to provide the most up-to-date testing procedures to our companion animal patients.
Radiology Services: Our on-site X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
Small Animal Surgery and Anesthesia: Our in-house surgery capabilities provide for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We utilize the safest animal anesthetics currently available to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. Aptos-Creekside Pet Hospital has not only highly-skilled veterinary surgeons on staff, but also Licensed Veterinary Technicians who assist the doctors and closely monitor all patients while under anesthesia, and throughout each patient's recovery. Our highly-qualified staff is carefully supervised and trained using industry-standard protocols implemented by our in-house Medical Director, Sarah Hawklyn, DVM.
Board Certified Cardiology, Radiology and Surgical Specialists: In-house care providers include board-certified Cardiology, Radiology and Surgical specialists. Our doctors co-ordinate and oversee the services these specialists provide for our Aptos-Creekside Pet Hospital veterinary patients. Some of the services offered include: Ultrasounds, EKG's, Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Surgeries, and Cardiac Consultations with a board-certified cardiologist for our cardiac patients.
Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Dermatology, Opthalmology Consults: We enjoy a collegial and professional relationship with both of our local referral specialty hospitals, in addition to maintaining long standing relationships with small animal specialists located in the Greater Bay Area and throughout Northern California. Our doctors take great care to facilitate the referral process and shepherd our clients through the referral process when it becomes necessary for the optimal care of their much-loved pet.
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.
Individualized Parasite and Flea Control Programs: We are concerned with all parasites which may afflict your pet, both internal and external. We will help you to understand and select a parasite control and prevention program which will best combat each pet's potential parasite exposure, based upon the lifestyle of your particular pet.
Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification for your pet. We currently use the "HomeAgain" chip and pet identification system, and we register all microchipped pets once we have completed owner information. This approach ensures that all of your pets which are microchipped by Aptos-Creekside Pet Hospital become automatically registered.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Your pet can be welcomed by our support staff during regular hours, at which time we will record any special instructions or needs for your pet, so you can rest assured that your pet is enjoying the best of personalized care while you are away.
